The organisation i will be coaching at throughout my 3rd year at uclan is Burnley College Football Academy (BCFA) which is an organisation that provides opportunities to students aged 16-18 through a wide range of programmes. The programmes include advanced football development and educational programmes which are supported by knowledgeable and dedicated staff (Burnley, 2019). The academy has won awards such as the men’s North West Premier League in 2014/2015, following this achievement the ladies also won the North West League in 2015/2016. Some students who participated in the football academy have progressed on to professional and semi-professional careers are now playing for teams such as Doncaster Rovers Football Club and Clitheroe Football club (Burnley C. , 2019). The academy focusses only on individuals aged 16-18 due to the organisation being a college.
